Description
The inside of a blown glass chalice from Mexico, taken on a Nikon D3000, edited in photoshop.
Named "Hyperactive Amygdala", because anxious people often have hyperactive amygdalas. These are the children you see crying at the sound of a popping ballon or the grownups you see worrying and fretting because their guest is ten minutes late for dinner while there's a storm outside. The hyperactive amygdala sees more things as dangerous or risky (represented by the black and white) as it does safe and enjouyable (represented by the splashes of colour).
Or at least, that's my understanding. I'm just going off of a book I bought.
